Overview

We are seeking an experienced and passionate Head Chef to lead our culinary team in delivering exceptional dining experiences. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in hospitality - ideally in a Head Chef capacity, with a focus on leadership, creativity, and organisation - as well as a commitment to quality. This role requires strong culinary skills, menu development expertise, team management ability and an understanding of the demands of a successful wedding & special events venue.

Key responsibilities

  • Supervise and coordinate the activities of the kitchen team to ensure efficient food production.
  • Develop and implement innovative menus that reflect current culinary trends whilst meeting customer preferences.
  • Ensure adherence to food safety regulations and maintain a clean, organised kitchen environment.
  • Train and mentor kitchen team in food preparation techniques, presentation, and safety practices.
  • Manage stock levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximise profitability.
  • Collaborate with the front-of-house team to ensure seamless service and client satisfaction.
  • Foster a positive and professional working environment.

Experience

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or in a similar role within an event driven hospitality setting.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety standards and best practices in food production.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage & mentor a team effectively while fostering a positive work environment.
  • Excellent culinary skills with a passion for creating high-quality dishes.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
