Head Chef

  • Hourly Rate: GBP12.98 - GBP14.42 (dependent on experience)
  • Location: Ferndown, BH22
  • Hours - 9am - 4pm, Monday to Friday with spilt/alternative weekends
  • Job Type: Temp to Perm
  • Immediate Start Available

My client is seeking a talented and passionate Head Chef to join their Deli Kitchen & Caf?? team in Ferndown. This is an excellent opportunity for a culinary professional looking to lead a kitchen, showcasing their skills and creativity in preparing high-quality dishes. They are a social enterprise and charity providing support and opportunities to adults with varying support needs.

Day-to-day of the role:

  • Oversee the preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in the kitchen.
  • Manage kitchen staff and delegate tasks related to meal prep, cooking, and delivering food in a timely fashion.
  • Maintain order and discipline in the kitchen during working hours.
  • Create menu items, recipes, and develop dishes ensuring variety and quality.
  • Manage kitchen inventory and ensure supplies are fresh and of high quality.
  • Ensure compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Proven experience as a Head Chef or Sous Chef with strong leadership skills.
  • Excellent knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment, and procedures.
  • Familiarity with industry's best practices.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Calm & well organised individual.
