Are you passionate about providing a high-quality dining experience? The Physician is seeking an experienced and talented Head Chef to join our culinary team. As the Head Chef, you will play a pivotal role in menu development, kitchen management, and maintaining the highest standards of food quality and presentation. We are looking for someone who shares our love for food, embraces creativity, and has exceptional culinary skills.

The Physician was once known as the BMI building and housed the 'Sampson Gangee Library for the History of Medicine'. Its historical grandeur, high ceilings, and large sash windows create beautiful spaces, perfect for a pub setting.

Our passion lies in sourcing quality fresh ingredients and preparing, cooking, and presenting them in a modern yet unpretentious way. Our menus feature classic British dishes complemented by exotic influences from around the world.

About you...

Experience as a head chef, chef manager, kitchen manager, or senior sous chef in a busy, premium, fresh food environment is essential. You will be responsible for the food culture, working closely with the pub manager, formulating seasonal menus, and leading your team. Confidence in leadership, inclusivity, and business acumen are required to manage stock, GPs, and labour effectively.
