Job Description

Overview:
We are seeking an experienced and creative Head Chef to lead our culinary team. The ideal candidate will oversee high-volume banqueting and M&E operations, while developing an exceptional à la carte menu. This role requires strong leadership, innovation, and a focus on cost control, food waste reduction, and food safety.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead daily kitchen operations for à la carte dining, banquets, meetings, and large events including seasonal functions.
  • Create and update menus for guests and group functions, ensuring quality and variety.
  • Manage food costs, inventory, payroll, and control food waste to maintain profitability and sustainability.
  • Train, develop, and motivate the kitchen team to uphold high standards.
  • Ensure compliance with food safety standards and lead audits.
  • Stay informed on market trends to keep menus innovative and aligned with guest expectations.
  • Collaborate with F&B and event teams to deliver outstanding guest experiences across outlets and functions.

Qualifications:

  • Culinary degree or equivalent certification required.
  • Proven experience in a similar high-volume role, including banqueting and à la carte service.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Head Chef or Executive Chef in hospitality.
  • Strong knowledge of culinary trends, food waste management, and cost control.
  • Up-to-date with market developments and guest expectations, with strategic menu planning skills.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and team development abilities.
  • Experience managing food safety, hygiene, and waste reduction.
  • Certified in food safety practices (e.g., HACCP).
  • Proficient in kitchen management systems and basic software (inventory, payroll, costing).
