OUR HOTEL

We are currently looking for a Head Chef to join our Kitchen Team at the Hilton Aberdeen TECA. The successful applicant will have a positive ‘can do' attitude, be passionate about every aspect of food and cooking, and show that they care.

Your new role as Head Chef will see you working at the Hilton Aberdeen, located on the site of The Event Complex Aberdeen (TECA).

The 200-bedroom Hilton Hotel on the site of the Aberdeen Exhibition and Conference Centre hosts Quarter House Bar & Grill, Flight Path, the only Executive Lounge in Aberdeen, and Devona Spa & Leisure.

A DAY IN THE LIFE OF A HEAD CHEF AT OUR HOTEL

What you'll be doing...

  • Bring creativity, precision, and passion to every dish that leaves the kitchen.
  • Take charge of daily kitchen operations, ensuring prep, cooking, and service run smoothly and efficiently.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, sharing your culinary expertise, mentoring chefs, and creating a collaborative, upbeat environment.
  • Play a key role in menu creation and development, experimenting with new flavors and seasonal ingredients to keep offerings fresh and exciting.
  • Monitor inventory, oversee ordering, and manage stock levels to ensure the kitchen is always prepared for service.
  • Complete and prepare for Health & Safety audits.
  • Maintain high standards for food quality, presentation, and consistency, ensuring every dish meets top-notch expectations.
  • Uphold rigorous hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards, creating a safe and organized workspace for the team.
WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU
  • A skilled chef with experience in a fast-paced kitchen and a passion for great food.
  • Management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop the team while maintaining high standards.
