Job summary

BBVA is seeking a senior Cash Management professional to lead and scale its UK Cash Management franchise. You will drive strategic planning, build a local CM team, and manage cross-functional counterparts across global operations.

The role requires deep product knowledge across payments, liquidity and connectivity, plus a proven commercial track record with UK corporates. You will engage with CFOs and senior finance executives, oversee revenue growth, and guide CM initiatives across BBVA’s

Qualifications

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Cash Management/Transaction Banking in a leading international bank.
• Strong network across UK Corporates, Treasury Centers and the broader treasury ecosystem.
• Deep knowledge of Accounts, Payments, Collections and Liquidity Management.
• Experience with connectivity solutions including APIs, Host-to-Host, SWIFT and ERP/TMS integration.
• Proven track record selling sophisticated Cash Management solutions to Corporate and Institutional clients.
• Ability to engage credibly with CFOs, Group Treasurers and senior finance executives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the UK Cash Management Strategic Plan.
• Build and lead the local CM team.
• Define target coverage model and client segmentation.
• Establish commercial targets and KPIs.
• Coordinate closely with CIB Bankers and embed CM into their commercial routines.
• Represent UK within the Global Cash Management organization.
• Coordinate Product, Implementation, Client Service, Operations, Engineering, Compliance, Legal, Risk and Finance.
• Drive development of the local product proposition.
• Identify strategic partnerships where appropriate.
• Monitor revenues, balances, deposits, transaction volumes and budget execution.

About the job:

We are looking for a senior Cash Management professional with 10/ 15 years of experience within leading international banks, combining strong product expertise with a proven commercial track record in the UK Corporate market.

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and scaling BBVA’s local Cash Management franchise in the UK while continuing to accelerate Inbound and Outbound business across BBVA’s global network.

The role requires deep expertise across Payments, Collections, Liquidity Management and Connectivity, together with strong client relationships, product development experience, commercial leadership and the ability to operate effectively across a complex international organization.

Role profile:

International Banking Experience:

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Cash Management / Transaction Banking within a leading international bank.
• Strong understanding of the UK Corporate and Transaction Banking market.
• Experience working within international and matrix organizations.
• Strong network across UK Corporates, Treasury Centers and the broader treasury ecosystem.

Cash Management Product Expertise:

• Deep knowledge of Accounts, Payments, Collections and Liquidity Management.
• Strong understanding of UK payment infrastructure, including Faster Payments, CHAPS and Bacs.
• Experience with connectivity solutions including APIs, Host-to-Host, SWIFT and ERP/TMS integration.
• Knowledge of international liquidity solutions, including Cash Pooling, cross-border liquidity and intercompany payments.
• Experience identifying product gaps and working with Product and Engineering teams to develop new capabilities.

Commercial & Client Coverage:

• Proven track record in selling sophisticated Cash Management solutions to Corporate and Institutional clients.
• Ability to engage credibly with CFOs, Group Treasurers, Treasury Centers and senior finance executives.
• Experience leading RFPs and complex regional/global Cash Management mandates.
• Strong capabilities in pipeline management, pricing, negotiation and conversion.
