Job description

Job Title: Head Bartender at Sweeties

Location: Kings Cross

Salary: £16.59 – £17.36 per hour incl. Tronc (equivalent to £34.5k – £36.1k), plus additional tips and benefits

Working Days: Wednesday – Saturday, 30–40 hours per week

Venue Hours: Open until 3:00am Thursday – Saturday

About the Role

Calling all nightlife enthusiasts! As Head Bartender at Sweeties, you will oversee a specialized drinks service from sunset cocktails to late-night lounge and party vibes, with floor-to-ceiling views and a vibrant soundtrack curated by our DJ and Music & Culture team.

  • Ability to train and guide team members, make personalized recommendations to guests
  • Experience in preparing, creating, and mixing signature and classic cocktails
  • Ensure quality control and compliance with safety standards
  • Be a welcoming host, making guests feel comfortable and valued
  • Be social, upbeat, friendly, confident, and able to handle pressure
  • Exceptional organizational and communication skills
  • Ability to thrive in a high-volume, energetic environment and manage multiple tasks efficiently
Requirements
  • Previous experience as a Head Bartender, Bar Supervisor, or Senior Cocktail Bartender in a busy setting
  • Proficiency in bar operations and service, with knowledge of both classic and contemporary cocktails
  • Experience with cocktail prep, requisitions, and bar compliance preferred
  • Familiarity with Squirrel epos, Birchstreet, and Sevenrooms is advantageous but training will be provided
  • Full-time availability (Wednesday – Saturday) with flexibility for late-night shifts
  • Applicants must be eligible to work in the UK and provide proof prior to employment
