Company Description

We are looking for charismatic & experienced Head Bartender to be part of our team for The Hoxton, Southwark in our Seabird Restaurant.

The Hoxton, Southwark, the third Hoxton in our hometown of London, is known for its colorful history. This area was once home to the famous London pub The Prince Albert, where patrons bet on sport from their barstools with cash to the pub’s licensed bookie! We have 192 bedrooms, 2 restaurants - Albie & Seabird, and our first Working From_location, not just in London but across Europe! Albie offers all-day dining inspired by the French and Italian Riviera. Seabird is our rooftop restaurant on the 14th floor, featuring a raw bar, London’s longest oyster list, and panoramic city views.

Seabird: Enjoy panoramic views in Southwark, offering sea-to-table dishes with Portuguese and Spanish influences.

Job Description

1. Lead the bar team in creating a fun and relaxed atmosphere where guests can unwind and enjoy themselves.
2. Be creative and share ideas to develop our menu – innovate our bar concept and stay ahead of trends.
3. Know your products and systems inside out.
4. Lead by example, driving service standards for the best guest experience; encourage your team’s growth and development, the Hox way.

Qualifications

1. Previous Bartender experience, with strong wine & cocktail knowledge, ready to step up.
2. A natural people person – confident behind the bar and excellent with guests.
3. Desire to work in an environment where authenticity is valued; no clones in suits.
4. Passion for hospitality and creating memorable experiences for guests and colleagues.
5. Team player, ego aside, focused on getting things done.
6. Open to trying new things and doing things differently.
7. Enthusiastic about working in a supportive team that values fun and hard work.
