Job summary

Mandarin Oriental Mayfair in London is seeking a Head Bartender to lead the RB&E team and develop the beverage program. You will craft cocktails, set standards, manage supplier relations and coach staff, while ensuring guest satisfaction.

The role is based in Mayfair with rotating shifts across Monday to Sunday, totaling 40 hours per week. This position reflects the luxury service standards of the Mandarin Oriental group.

Qualifications

• Experience leading a high-volume bar operation.
• Strong knowledge of beverage trends and cocktail craft.
• Ability to manage stock and supplier relationships.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining contemporary cocktail list including spirits and beers offering in line with Director of Beverage.
• Setting standards and recipes of the beverage offering.
• Developing a strong relationship with suppliers and brand ambassador.
• Understanding and operating the POS system and coach other team members.
• Supervising the production sequence of all beverage products and bar sequence of service.
• Training and coaching other bartenders on the beverage preparation.
• Maintaining the appropriate level of beverage stock.
• Meeting and greeting the guests in a professional and efficient manner.
