About the Role:

As Head Bartender, you will oversee all aspects of our bars' operations, including crafting unique drink menus, managing staff and stock levels, and maintaining high service standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Ensure proper stocking of bar supplies.
  • Enforce alcohol laws and regulations.
  • Develop high-quality cocktails, including pre-batched drinks, syrups, infusions, and garnishes.
  • Create an innovative drink menu aligned with current trends.
  • Stay informed on menu content, changes, and promotions.
  • Lead and train the bar team, providing guidance and feedback.
  • Foster a positive team environment.
  • Mentor staff to meet high standards.
  • Provide personalized guest service and drink recommendations.
  • Maintain consistency in drink preparation and presentation.
  • Manage bar inventory and conduct stock counts.
  • Track sales and wastage for profitability.

  • Serve drinks in accordance with Weights and Measures Act.
  • Provide excellent customer service and handle complaints professionally.
  • Collaborate with team members for smooth operations.
  • Create a welcoming environment from arrival to departure.
  • Follow health and safety regulations, including COSHH and hygiene guidelines.
Personal Specification:

Essentials:

  • Experience in a similar role, especially in bar service.
  • Knowledge of cocktail making, licensing, hygiene, and standards.
  • Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Professional appearance and positive attitude.

Desirables:

  • Experience handling high-volume covers.
  • Food Safety Training or willingness to train.
  • Experience in hotel or spa settings with a focus on guest experience.
Further Information:
  • Full flexibility required, including bank holidays and weekends.
  • 40 hours per week, 5 days out of 7.
  • Reliable transportation recommended due to rural location.
  • No guarantee of visa sponsorship; candidates must have right to work in the UK.
