Job summary

Caravan Southbank in London is seeking an exceptional Head Barista to help open our new two-floor site on the Southbank. We’re looking for someone who is kind, confident, high-energy and passionate about specialty coffee, with a knack for growing and supporting a team and guests from the first impression.

You’ll work with the bar manager and full team to maintain high standards for health and safety, hospitality, culture and beverage quality, and you’ll inspire and educate the team to ensure

Overall earnings up to £16.50 per hour

This November, we're opening our tenth, and biggest, Caravan at the Southbank. And we're looking for an exceptional Head Barista to help us open. We're after someone kind, confident, high-energy and genuinely passionate specialty coffee. Someone who knows how to grow & support their team, loves to welcome & awe guests from the first impression, and who wants to share their passion with their team & guests.

You'll be joining Caravan as we open a special new restaurant, with two floors, multiple bars and plenty of opportunity to make your mark from day one.

The role

As Head Barista you'll work alongside the bar manager and full team to make sure the day-to-day coffee operation runs brilliantly. That means setting & managing high standards for health & safety, hospitality, culture and beverage quality. That means being an ambassador for our award-winning Caravan coffee, inspiring & educating the team around you and making sure every one of your guests has the best experience possible.

What you'll be doing as Head Barista

• Ensure our beverage, and certainly coffee standards are consistently delivered
• Sharing your knowledge and passion with the full team and helping create the kind of hospitality people want to come back for
• Following healthy & safety standards, allergen & stock management procedures and drink specs
• Working closely with the wider restaurant team to give every guest the best experience possible
