**About The Role**

The role of HE Lecturer - Law at University Centre (UC) Leeds involves planning, delivering, and assessing curriculum for students in Access to HE Law and LLB (Hons) Degree programs.

UC Leeds offers a vocationally focused and diverse curriculum. The institution holds Degree Awarding Powers and has over 1300 students enrolled across various courses.

We provide a comprehensive LLB (Hons) Law degree, validated by The Open University, preparing students for careers in legal and criminal justice fields.

Responsibilities include:

  • Planning, preparing, and developing schemes of work, session plans, and assessment strategies.
  • Delivering and assessing knowledge and understanding in the subject area.
  • Maintaining current knowledge of the subject and vocational area.

  • Applying research-based effective teaching, learning, and assessment practices.

About You

  • Holding a Level 5 Teaching Qualification (e.g., Cert Ed, PGCE) or willing to undertake and complete within 2 years.
  • Having a relevant vocational qualification or degree in the teaching subject.
  • Experience in recent teaching within relevant subject areas, demonstrating active learning and differentiated teaching styles.
  • Knowledge of current teaching practices and experience using diverse teaching methods to support learner progression.
