Job summary

Wigan & Leigh College invites applications for an HE Graphic Design Lecturer to teach primarily across our Higher Education Graphic Design provision, with some Level 3 delivery. You will guide students in developing sophisticated portfolios and link classroom learning with industry practice.

The role includes leading HE Graphic Design provision, establishing live briefs, and leveraging your professional networks to enrich the curriculum and student opportunities.

Qualifications

• Having a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification in Graphic Design or Visual Communication.
• Experience teaching Graphic Design or related creative subject.
• HE/FE experience preferred to lead Higher Education provision.

Responsibilities

• Teach across HE Graphic Design with some Level 3 delivery.
• Help students develop strong portfolios and professional confidence.
• Bring contemporary Graphic Design practice into learning with live briefs.
• Develop live briefs and projects with industry partners.
• Build relationships with designers, studios and creative organisations.
• Support students in employment, freelance practice or further study.
• Assess work and provide constructive feedback.
• Contribute to progression from Level 3 to Higher Education.
