This is an exciting opportunity to become part of the Health Determinants Research Collaboration (HDRC), a ground-breaking programme that will help shape the future of health and wellbeing across our communities.
Backed by a £5 million investment from the National Institute for Health and Care Research (NIHR), the HDRC is strengthening the Council's ability to use research and evidence to tackle health inequalities, improve outcomes for residents, and embed evidence-informed decision-making across the organisation.
As part of this pioneering team, you will play a key role in supporting a programme that aims to make Cumberland a centre of excellence for local authority and community-led research, with a particular focus on the challenges and opportunities facing coastal, rural and dispersed communities.
The HDRC will drive innovation, strengthen evidence-based decision making, and empower communities to have a meaningful voice in shaping future services and research priorities.
