This challenging and exciting opportunity requires an experienced HDD Drilling Operative possessing demonstrable industry experience and a willingness to remain loyal to employers for long periods, often working long hours across the UK in challenging conditions. Candidates must have a full UK driving licence and be flexible to work away from home all week. The salary includes overtime and bonuses, and a company vehicle is available as part of the benefits package.

Due to increased contract awards and a significant forward order workload, our client is seeking to appoint several HDD Drilling Operatives to support their growth across the UK.

The Role

• Comply with all company and site-specific HSEQ policies at all times.
• Safely and efficiently operate complex HDD rigs and associated equipment.
• Work collaboratively with a team of site-based Drilling Operatives and subcontractors.
• Perform all assigned duties to deliver projects safely and on schedule.
• Coordinate with Project Managers and Site Engineers to ensure high-quality project delivery.
• Maintain site records, including daily logs, rig checks, risk assessments, and progress reports.

The Person

• Understanding of various HDD drilling techniques and the ability to operate HDD rigs safely and confidently.
• Ability to read and interpret site or project specifications and drawings.
• Knowledge of techniques suitable for different ground conditions and site access challenges.
• Highly organized with the ability to plan and manage workload with minimal supervision.
