Job Description:

Job Role: Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant

The Care Worker / Support Worker / Healthcare Assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The ideal candidate will have some experience in care and be a compassionate person.

Responsibilities include assisting with daily care of patients at home or in a hospital setting, such as helping with personal hygiene, feeding, making beds, turning patients to prevent pressure sores, and supporting mobility.

Previous experience and/or qualifications are preferred but not essential.

You will work under the supervision of nursing staff and collaborate with other healthcare assistants.

Skills and duties may include:

  • Helping patients with washing, dressing, and feeding
  • Assisting with mobility and transfers
  • Supporting patients with toileting needs
  • Maintaining a clean and tidy environment
  • Using mobility aids and equipment appropriately

Additional roles include escorting patients within hospital departments and participating in induction training for new staff.
