Join us as a Hazards Engineer / Senior Hazards Engineer and play a vital role in assessing risks for our nuclear clients, supporting their and our ambitions for low-carbon energy, and shaping a sustainable future for our planet and its people.

Your Purpose:

This role focuses on internal and external hazards assessments and analyses, emphasizing team building, delivering high-quality technical work, and maintaining long-term client relationships. Your daily tasks may include leading high-profile hazards safety case deliveries, interfacing with civil, process, or other engineering disciplines, or developing innovative solutions to evaluate meteorological hazards impacting the UK nuclear fleet. If you prefer numerical analysis, you might be responsible for detailed assessments supporting hazards such as fire, flooding, or seismic events.

This position offers opportunities to work with diverse clients across nuclear new build (including fusion and SMR), defense, and nuclear generation. You will support project delivery, solve complex technical problems, and present solutions to stakeholders. Your drive for excellence and attention to detail will be key, while maintaining awareness of the broader project context.

You will also have the chance to collaborate with the wider technical community within AtkinsRéalis, leveraging global expertise, and to develop and mentor junior engineers, enhancing our project delivery capabilities and your leadership skills.
