£15.77 per hour + £0.26p shift allowance (paid weekly)

36 hours per week – 4 shifts between Monday and Saturday on a 3-week rotating pattern:
Week 1:Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday
Week 2:Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday
Week 3:Wednesday, Thursday, Friday, Saturday
08:00 – 18:00
About the RoleAs aHatchery Supervisor, you’ll support the Hatchery Manager and Assistant Manager with the day-to-day running of the hatchery. This includes supervising operations, ensuring high hygiene and welfare standards, and leading your team effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
Oversee equipment setup, operation, and post-use cleaning
Supervise chick sorting by grade and quantity for delivery
Manage egg transfers between setting and hatching machines
Liaise with Drivers, Managers, and Operatives
Ensure compliance with Health & Safety and site policies
Organise staff and resources effectively
Monitor use of PPE and ensure safety protocols are followed
Support training and development of team members
Report hazards and defects promptly
Good level of English and basic numeracy skills
High attention to detail and a flexible approach to tasks
Positive, self-motivated attitude with the ability to work independently
Strong communication and leadership skills
Reliable and approachable, with the ability to build strong working relationships
Previous supervisory experience is essential (agriculture experience preferred but not required – full training provided)
