Job summary

Avara Foods is seeking a QA Co-Ordinator for our Shobdon Hatchery to monitor egg quality, incubation performance, and chick hatch results. You will collect and analyse technical data and report findings to support continuous improvement while maintaining high quality and biosecurity standards.

The role involves working in a fast-paced hatchery environment with mixed office and floor duties and requires flexibility to cover shifts as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in hatchery quality assurance or related QA roles.
• Understanding of egg incubation processes and hatchery workflows.
• Ability to collect, analyse and report technical data to improve performance.

Responsibilities

• Conduct physical and bacteriological egg quality assessments.
• Monitor egg core temperatures throughout the supply chain.
• Assess egg hygiene and fumigation/sanitation effectiveness.
• Analyse breeder flock fertility performance by house.
• Review hatch results and investigate incubation losses.
• Carry out detailed chick quality assessments and report findings.
• Produce management reports and provide actionable recommendations.
• Monitor hygiene standards and report non-conformances.
• Support investigations and continuous improvement initiatives.
