Job Role: Support worker/Healthcare Assistant

The Support worker / Healthcare assistant will be expected to help and assist the team with day-to-day routines including personal care and feeding.

The Healthcare Assistants / Support workers must have at least 6 months experience in care and be compassionate.

Healthcare Assistants / Support Workers help with the day-to-day care of patients, either in homes, hospitals, or in patients' own homes. They are vital members of teams in hospitals, care homes, and clinics.

Previous experience and/or qualifications in care are essential.

As a Healthcare Assistant and Support Worker, you would work under the supervision of nursing staff alongside other Healthcare Assistants. Duties may include:

• Helping patients wash, shower, or dress
• Serving food or helping people eat
• Making and changing beds
• Turning patients to prevent pressure sores
• Talking to patients to reduce anxiety
• Assisting patients with mobility
• Handling bedpans and helping with toileting
• Maintaining cleanliness of the ward or patient's home
• Managing supplies and equipment

Your work may involve using mobility aids and escorting patients between departments. With experience, you may participate in induction training for new healthcare assistants.

We also supply staff to NHS and private sectors, including nurses, GNs, NMC registered nurses, Band 5 and 6 nurses, HCAs, community nurses, and specialists in areas like A&E, Endoscopy, and Theatre.
