Harvest Supervisor – Essex - Competitive Salary + Benefits

The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Harvest Supervisor to join a well established farming business based in Essex. This is a full-time, permanent role supporting a dedicated agricultural team that supplies fresh crops to the UK market.
We’re looking for someone with hands on experience in agriculture and harvesting—ideally with outdoor wholehead crops—who understands the full process from field to distribution. You’ll also have experience supervising diverse teams and be confident in leading, motivating and organising daily operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee daily operations of harvesting teams
  • Report staffing, quality, and yield issues to the Harvest Manager
  • Ensure field hygiene, dress code, and company guidelines are followed
  • Maintain high standards of Health & Safety compliance
  • Crop walk regularly to assess quality and availability
  • Complete and maintain all required field records and maintenance logs
  • Strive to meet or exceed budgeted yields and operational targets

The Candidate:

  • Solid understanding of outdoor wholehead crop harvesting
  • Experience managing harvest or field teams (ideally 20–30 people)
  • Background in field operations and harvest logistics
  • Multilingual abilities are a bonus, but not essential
