Job description

Do you want part-time or full-time work in one of the largest catering companies in the UK? We have flexible Catering Assistant roles where you can pick up as many or as few shifts as you like.

Working Hours

Constellation optimises the working schedules of Compass employees, so we can help you work at over 5,000 venues across the UK on shifts that suit you. Shifts are available Monday to Friday from 11:00 to 19:30 and weekends from 8:00 to 15:00. You must have cold food prep experience, and be available full-time on weekdays or weekends. Essential attire includes a long-sleeved black shirt, black trousers, and black safety shoes.

Main Responsibilities for Catering Assistants

• Being polite, prompt, and friendly to all colleagues and guests
• Communicating with guests and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery
• Acting in line with guidance and procedures from the lead chef and/or room manager to ensure the team operates at its maximum potential
• Taking pride in your work and adhering to standards with your team
• Actively seeking to further knowledge, skills, and improve personal performance
• Complying with all company and unit policies regarding Health & Safety, Food Safety, Allergens, Hygiene, Manual Handling, and COSHH
• Taking responsibility for your own health and safety
• Wearing personal protective equipment (PPE) as required
• Enjoying your work, smiling, and having fun!
