A leading engineering company in Newcastle-under-Lyme is seeking an Electrical Engineer to design wiring systems across projects. Responsibilities include managing design applications and ensuring compliance with industry standards. The ideal candidate will have an HNC/degree and strong expertise in electrical systems. Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to HNC/degree level, or equivalent, in an Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering discipline.
  • Prepared to travel UK and overseas.
  • Have a sound understanding of the harness design and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

  • Design wiring systems for projects.
  • Responsible for application of product design.
  • Regular communication with customers and manufacturing plants.

Skills

Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and circuits
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Experience in Customer interface role

Qualifications

  • Ideally educated to HNC/degree level, or equivalent, in an Electrical/Electronic/Mechanical Engineering discipline
  • Knowledge of VW Systems and specific Bentley Systems
  • Knowledge of vehicle electrical systems and circuits
  • Have a sound understanding of the harness design and manufacturing processes
  • Experience working in a Customer interface role
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills (including presentation, technical communication and negotiation skills)
  • Ability to comply with current relevant legal and internal defined standards, as well as safety and environmental regulations
  • Ability to report risks, opportunities and to comply with deadlines
  • Prepared to travel UK and overseas


Additional Information

  • Competitive Salary dependent on experience
  • 34 holidays including bank holidays with an accrual of an additional 5 days relating to service
