Qualifications

• Qualifications in phycology, aquatic/freshwater ecology, limnology, marine biology, environmental science, oceanography, or remote sensing.
• Ability to explain complex science to decision-makers who aren't scientists.
• Hands-on experience with remote sensing and Earth observation of water quality.

Responsibilities

• Develop highly accurate algal bloom detection and early-warning capabilities.
• Validate and strengthen scientific methodology for customer-facing outputs.
• Quantify confidence and uncertainty in outputs for decision-making.
• Shape HAB monitoring offerings for water-sector clients with scientific credibility.
