Job Overview

This role involves providing evidence-based harm reduction interventions and depot-based treatment to drug and alcohol service users within Derby City. The aim is to improve health and wellbeing and support recovery, making the role integral to our service.

Main Duties
  • Lead and deliver depot treatment for OST medication in collaboration with the healthcare team.
  • Support interventions such as testing, vaccination, physical health assessments, needle exchange, ECG, liver scans, and act as a link between primary and secondary care services.
Funding and Contract Details

Currently fixed term for 9 months, with potential for extension pending funding.

Person Specification
Qualifications (Essential)
  • RGN/RMN
  • ENB 998/Mentoring in Practice
Experience (Essential)
  • Experience working with substance misuse service users
  • Skills in ECG, venepuncture, BBV testing/vaccination, blood interpretation, medication management including depots, needle exchange
Skills (Essential)
  • Providing harm reduction interventions
