Hardwick Green Primary Academy is seeking to appoint an experienced SEND Teacher to join our ambitious and committed team.

In September 2025, Hardwick Green is opening a new SEND Unit for 16 primary-age children (two classes) with complex Communication & Interaction / Cognition & Learning needs. The SEND Unit is a joint venture with Stockton-on-Tees Local Authority, and access to the Unit will be through the Local Authority.

This role involves leading teaching and learning in the Unit and being the class teacher for one of the two classes.

We are looking to appoint someone who:

  • is an experienced teacher of children with complex SEND
  • is passionate about the rights of children with SEND and ambitious for their achievement every day
  • shows compassion, resilience, and patience in caring for children with SEND
  • holds every child and their family in the highest regard and leads by example, with high expectations for what each child can achieve

You will benefit from a newly refurbished setting with high-quality resources. The appointed candidate will work alongside our Assistant Principal: Inclusion and be well-supported by the Senior Leadership Team and The Enquire Learning Trust, who are committed to providing the best teaching and learning for all children and are ambitious for their achievement. As part of our team, you will have access to extensive continuous professional development from both the Trust and Local Authority.

This is an exciting opportunity to develop SEND provision from the start, allowing you to bring your expertise to shape our future work.

Come and join the team – be bothered!
