Overview

Hardware Engineer - Electrical/Commissioning – Staffordshire based + Travel – Permanent – £35-45K + bonus + 30 days holiday + hybrid when in office + BUPA

Samuel Frank is recruiting an electrically biased Hardware Engineer to join a well-established, specialist engineering business located in central Staffordshire.

The Hardware Engineer role will suit a Degree qualified Engineer with around 1-4 years experience.

All applicants must have a British passport and not hold dual nationality, as you'll be put through security clearance.

Responsibilities
  • Phase 1 will involve preparing and writing all commissioning related documentation, this will take place on a hybrid basis from the office in Stafford
  • Phase 2 will involve being based on customer site in Berkshire where you'll test & commission the electrical systems
  • When working on site, pre-agreed overtime will be paid on top of a daily allowance payment (plus all travel & accommodation costs).
  • Hardware Engineer role will suit an Engineer at the beginning stages of their career who is interested in learning and completing key stages in the commissioning stages of project delivery.
  • The Hardware Engineer role will offer the successful candidate the opportunity to learn from high calibre, seasoned professionals in both office and site based environments
  • The role will be an ideal opportunity for an Electrical Engineer wanting to pursue a career in commissioning. Role could suit a Hardware Engineer with some electrical design experience wanting to evolve into a site based/commissioning specialist.

  • UK driving licence - essential requirement
  • When working in Stafford, on Mondays and Fridays you'll work from home with the rest of the week being office based
  • The company encourages and will support Engineers taking on Chartered status / MSc qualifications etc.
  • 30 days holiday per year as well as the statutory Bank Holidays
  • Potential bonus pool of up to 10% of your basic salary
