Qualifications

  • Minimum 18 months in a similar role.
  • Experience using EPLAN or AutoCAD Electrical.
  • Good understanding of control system electrical design.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct electrical site surveys.
  • Perform calculations for equipment sizing and selection.
  • Select components per client specifications.
  • Create single line diagrams and electrical schematics.
  • Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
  • Meet project milestones.

Earthstream are proud to be recruiting a Hardware Design Engineer for a leading industrial automation solutions provider ficusing on innovative projects across multiple industries

Job Role:Hardware Design Engineer
Location:Telford
Salary:Up to £50,000 plus benefits

As an Hardware Design Engineer your remit will include:

  • Electrical site surveys
  • Calculations to support sizing and selection (Power, Short Circuit, Voltage Drop, Heat Dissipation, etc.)
  • Equipment / component selection in line with client specification and internal preference
  • Single line diagrams for power, control and networking / communications
  • Control / Drive Panel general arrangements
  • Electrical schematics and cable schedules
  • Procurement of general components and materials
  • Manufacturing handover, documentation and support
  • As-built documentation from Testing and Commissioning
  • Complying with all appropriate industry regulations, client specifications, and internal standards
  • Meeting project milestones
  • Contribution to the continuous improvement of the Hardware Design department
  • Maintenance of the Technical Construction File
What you will bring to the company:
  • Apprenticeship / Degree in Electrical Engineering / Mechatronics
  • Minimum 18 months in a similar role
