Job Title: Contract Manager

CBRE Global Workplace Solutions is a leading global provider of integrated facilities and corporate real estate management. We are recruiting a Contract Manager to join the team in Broughton.

Role Summary:
  1. Responsible for contract management of staff, operation, and maintenance of electrical and mechanical plants/services, project works, and building performance.
  2. Manage the Engineering team daily, ensuring compliance with CBRE processes and procedures.
  3. Direct, instruct, and manage all CBRE staff and SSPs, ensuring adherence to working practices.
  4. Complete weekly operations reports and attend meetings with clients and internal management.
  5. Report any issues impacting building operations immediately to CBRE and senior management.
  6. Review operating procedures regularly, recommending improvements and updating emergency/contingency plans.
  7. Maintain communication with clients and the CBRE Area Manager regarding contract issues.
  8. Ensure staff are knowledgeable about critical and non-critical systems within the portfolio.
  9. Maintain quality standards across facilities.
  10. Communicate and implement business policies and processes effectively.
  11. Optimize staffing structures to balance cost and service quality.
  12. Collaborate with other Operations Managers for business development and team support.
  13. Develop financial plans for revenue, profit, and cost reduction, ensuring targets are met or exceeded.
  14. Implement control systems to meet statutory, policy, and contractual obligations.
  15. Maintain a customer-focused approach in all operational activities and foster strong client relationships.
  16. Provide leadership, coaching, and support to team members for best practice in recruitment, training, and recognition.
  17. Communicate effectively through various channels, including reports, meetings, and publications.
  18. Promote a learning environment with ongoing training and development planning.
  19. Attend on-site and off-site training for plant and system updates, including occasional nights away.
Experience Required:
  • Experience in the Building Services industry.
  • HV Authorized Person (preferable).
  • Formal Electrical or Mechanical training at least to City and Guilds level, preferably ONC/HNC or higher.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills.
  • Understanding of Health and Safety, with NEBOSH/IOSH or equivalent training desirable.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint).
  • Good command of English and Mathematics.
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads.
  • Ability to work under pressure, remain calm, and deliver services within deadlines.
