Job summary

Targe Towing Limited, part of the Forth Ports Group, is recruiting a professional Tug Master to operate ASD/ATD/Voith Harbour Tugs across Scotland. You may be based in Scotland with flexibility to travel to Forth, Leith or other sites as needed.

Role requires strong leadership, extensive harbour towage experience and a proactive safety mindset. Full-time permanent contract with competitive pay and benefits. Live aboard options available and healthcare provided.

Qualifications

• Experience as Tug Master operating harbour tugs to port, harbour and terminal operations.
• Knowledge of SMS, MMS and flag regulations relevant to tug operations.
• Ability to lead crews and conduct training and appraisals.

Responsibilities

• Command vessel in accordance with regulations and SMS.
• Maintain up-to-date safety and operational documents onboard.
• Ensure crew familiarisation, induction and on-the-job training.
• Draft contingency plans and conduct safety drills.
• Record logs, reports and maintain environmental and waste management standards.
