Do you have experience working as a handyperson and can confidently put your hand to multiple varied tasks? Then we have an opportunity for a handy person to work in our state of the art Children’s secure home.
Lansdowne Secure Children’s home is one of only 14 in the UK and is a modern, state of the art building with excellent and diverse facilities. There is an opportunity for a handyperson to work here on a variety of tasks that ensures the job always remains interesting and every day is different.
The postholder will be responsible for several aspects of helping to maintain the home, undertaking general maintenance activities as directed by The Buildings Manager. It is vital that all works are carried out to a very high standard for the safety and security of the children we look after. We need someone with a positive, can-do attitude.

The role will primarily be based at Lansdowne Secure Children’s home in Hailsham, but there is a need for someone who can also travel to other open homes within the county to assist with handyperson duties. Travel costs to the other homes will be covered, but you must be able to demonstrate the ability to travel to these homes.
Interviews will take place face to face at Lansdowne Secure Unit within two weeks of the closing date.
