Job summary

Fawkes & Reece London is seeking a Handyperson to join a reputable construction company in Hersden. This temporary, full-time role starts ASAP and pays £19–£20 per hour.

You must hold a valid CSCS card, own essential hand and power tools, and be prepared for external carpentry tasks in the project scope. The role involves working under the Project Manager and Site Manager, handling carpentry-focused tasks, checking drawings, and returning daily snag sheets to document progress.

Qualifications

• Current and valid CSCS card required.
• Minimum of 2 years+ experience within General Building.
• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.

Responsibilities

• Assist on-site under supervision of Project/ Site Manager.
• Carry out woodwork, metal work and minor snagging as listed in job sheets.
• Check drawings and set out works to be completed.
• Return snag sheets daily to show works completed.

A well-established regional contractor who specialises in the Education and Care home sector.

The role:

As the Handyperson / Multi-Trader on the project you will be responsible for:

• Working under the supervision and management of the Project Manager, Site Manager.
• Receiving job lists including but not limited to mainly woodwork, metal work and minor snagging works.
• Main experience in external carpentry will be required.
• Checking drawings and setting out works to be completed.
• Handing back snag sheets each day to show works completed.

About you:

You will need a current and valid CSCS card.

• Own a selection of hand tools and power tools.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
