Job Description

The Handyman/Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing a wide range of repair and maintenance tasks across various properties. The ideal candidate will have experience in drywall repair, flooring installation, paint preparation, and painting. Skills in electrical and plumbing work are highly desirable.

Duties

• Perform drywall repair, including patching, sanding, finishing, and painting if needed.
• Install and repair various types of flooring, such as carpet, vinyl, laminate, or hardwood.
• Prepare surfaces for painting, including cleaning, sanding, and priming.
• Conduct basic electrical repairs, such as replacing outlets, light fixtures, or switches (if qualified).
• Address minor plumbing issues, including fixing leaks or replacing fixtures (if qualified).
• Inspect and troubleshoot property maintenance issues.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and efficiently.
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors, team members, and clients.
• Assist with carpet cleaning as needed.
• Perform air duct and HVAC maintenance.
• Clean dryer vents as needed.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in English, both written and verbal, is required for effective communication.
• Previous experience in facilities maintenance with a strong mechanical knowledge base.

• Type: Full-time
• Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
• Expected hours: 35–40 per week
