Job Opportunity: Handyman

Fusion People are actively recruiting for a Handyman to work on behalf of a leading planned maintenance contractor throughout Devizes and Swindon.

This is a temp-to-perm vacancy.

Location and Site Details

Static site with free parking. This role involves planned maintenance (PPMs) and reactive maintenance services, including out-of-hours call-out cover. The work will be carried out across Swindon and Devizes.

Work Environment

This is a mental health care contract at The JHC, a secure site. Experience in a similar environment would be beneficial.

Working Hours

Monday to Friday, 8am to 5pm, with an hour unpaid for lunch. The role is mobile, covering an NHS contract in Wiltshire (around Swindon, Devizes, and occasionally Bath).

Responsibilities

1. Perform general planned, preventative, and reactive maintenance.
2. Carry out minor decoration and building fabric repairs, including basic plumbing (e.g., changing a tap/washer) and electrical tasks (e.g., changing a bulb).
3. Operate a provided van and fuel card.
4. Ensure possession of a full UK driving license with no more than 6 points.
