Job summary

Daniel James Interiors is seeking a Working Shop Manager to lead a bespoke joinery and interior fit-out workshop. You will oversee hands-on production, coordinate with project teams, and maintain high standards of quality and safety.

The role requires delivering projects on time, managing workloads, and driving a culture of excellence and process improvement within a fast-paced, project-based environment.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in bespoke joinery, shop fitting, interior fit-out or cabinet making.
• Proven experience supervising or managing a workshop/team.
• Strong practical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to read and understand technical drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the day-to-day operation of the workshop to meet project deadlines.
• Plan and organise workshop production and allocate workloads across the team.
• Ensure materials, machinery, and labour are available when required.
• Coordinate production schedules with project managers and site teams.
• Maintain high standards of quality, safety, and housekeeping.
• Provide leadership and training to junior team members.
