Job summary

Path Recruitment seeks a Workshop Engineer near Braintree for a predominantly workshop-based role. You will maintain, repair and test mechanical and hydraulic equipment, including hoists and winches, with full training provided.

The position offers a salary of £35,000-£40,000 plus a twice-yearly bonus, 25 days’ holiday plus bank holidays, private medical insurance and a supportive team environment.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical and hydraulic knowledge.
• Hands-on, practical engineering background.
• Ability to fault-find, service and repair equipment.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, repair, test and inspect mechanical and powered equipment (plants, hoists, winches).
• Perform fault finding, servicing and routine maintenance in a workshop setting.
• Occasional travel to customer sites may be required; full driving licence is needed.
