Job summary

Mane Energy in the United Kingdom is seeking an experienced Model Maker to join our Formula 1 Aerodynamics team, supporting wind tunnel model development and testing.

You will build and prepare wind tunnel models and components, work with aerodynamicists and designers, and provide hands-on technical guidance in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with Leica systems and 3D scanning, along with PI Toolbox and Diablo procedures, is preferred. Flexibility to work shifts is required.

Qualifications

• Hands-on model making experience within Formula 1, motorsport, automotive or high-performance engineering.
• Experience with wind tunnel models and/or gantry operations.
• Strong knowledge of Leica systems and 3D scanning.
• Experience with PI Toolbox and Diablo procedures.
• Flexibility to work shifts.

Responsibilities

• Build, prepare and develop wind tunnel models and components.
• Support gantry operations and wind tunnel testing.
• Work closely with Aerodynamicists and Designers to deliver model changes and developments.
• Identify and resolve technical or build issues.
• Support improvements across model shop processes and procedures.
• Provide technical support and guidance to junior team members.
