Job summary

Môrwell Talent Solutions are delighted to support a high-profile organisation in Cardiff with recruiting an experienced Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable professional on a 12-month fixed term contract. The role owns the full AP function, processes invoices, resolves queries and ensures suppliers are paid accurately and on time.

You will work with the wider finance team and an offshore AP unit in India in a busy, detail-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Experience in Purchase Ledger / Accounts Payable.
• Experience with three-way matching and PO processes.
• Attention to detail and strong organisational skills.
• Strong communication with internal/external stakeholders.
• Experience working with offshore/shared service AP teams is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the purchase ledger from invoice receipt through to payment.
• Process and match invoices against purchase orders.
• Complete three-way invoice matching and investigate discrepancies.
• Manage supplier queries and resolve issues promptly.
• Liaise with the AP team in India and internal/external stakeholders.
• Prepare supplier statement reconciliations and process payments.
• Ensure accurate general ledger coding and produce AP reports.
• Maintain well-controlled purchase ledger records.
• Support wider finance team with ad hoc requirements.
