Job summary

JG Foods t/a Grape Tree Limited in Aberystwyth is seeking an ambitious Retail Store Manager for the ABERYSTWYTH store, 35 hours per week. You will report to the Retail Operations Manager and lead a team to deliver fast, friendly service and maintain stock, cleanliness and a welcoming store image.

The role requires hands-on leadership, stock control, till operation, and compliance with pricing, hygiene and safety standards, with flexibility to work Sundays.

Qualifications

• Ability to provide excellent customer service, ideally with experience in food retail.
• Excellent staff supervision and organisational skills.
• Organised & practical, be able to roll your sleeves up and get stuck in.
• Experience in Retail Store Supervisor/Manager or related roles.

Responsibilities

• Strong understanding of stock control including ordering goods, deliveries and banking
• Be a hands-on manager
• Operate the till in accordance with company instructions
• Provide highest possible standard of customer service
• Ensure shelves are well filled/stocked and faced up
• Ensure correct pricing and stock rotation including use-by dates
• Maintain high standards of hygiene, cleanliness and safety
• Observe company rules and report breaches
• Ensure staff cooperation for smooth store running
