Job summary

Pertemps Black Country Perms is seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join our manufacturing team. You will perform inspections and testing of semi-finished and finished vehicles, identify quality issues, and help implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

The role involves working closely with the QA/QC team and other departments, using a data-driven approach to support continuous improvement and on-time delivery to customers.

Qualifications

• Hands-on Quality Inspector experience in manufacturing or automotive.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
• Experience with non-conformance and corrective action processes.
• Familiarity with a Quality Management System (QMS).
• Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Word and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Carry out thorough inspections and testing of semi-finished and finished vehicles.
• Identify, record and report quality issues and non-conformances.
• Ensure issues are contained and followed through to resolution.
• Support investigations into internal and customer-related non-conformances.
• Interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications.
• Assist QA/QC team with day-to-day quality activities.
• Contribute to corrective and preventative actions.
• Use data-driven methods to identify root causes and improvements.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives in manufacturing.
• Collaborate with Production, Engineering and other departments to resolve quality concerns.
• Complete inspection and quality documentation accurately.
• Support timely delivery of vehicles to customers.
