Connect Appointments in Uphall is seeking an experienced Operations Manager to lead our food distribution site. This hands-on senior role oversees warehouse and transport operations, leading from the front to deliver high standards.

The ideal candidate has 5+ years in warehouse leadership, FMCG experience, strong stock control and ERP proficiency, plus a hands-on, motivational leadership style aligned with food safety and health & safety compliance.

Qualifications

5+ years leadership experience in warehouse management, ideally FMCG or food distribution.
Strong knowledge of stock and inventory processes and ERP proficiency.
Hands-on, motivational leadership style with strong organizational and problem-solving skills.

Responsibilities

Lead and manage the warehouse and transport teams to deliver high operational standards.
Oversee driver pre-briefs, vehicle checks and route despatch to ensure deliveries run efficiently.
Manage goods in, stock rotation and inventory integrity with accurate reporting.
Drive continuous improvement in pick accuracy, stock presentation and operational performance.
Take full ownership of site hygiene, food safety and health and safety compliance.
Plan resources, manage staffing levels and monitor KPIs and performance reporting.
