Job summary

2 Sisters Food Group in the UK is seeking an experienced Engineering Team Leader for the night shift. You will be the senior engineering presence, leading the maintenance of production machinery and driving safe, disciplined engineering practices.

The role requires hands-on fault-finding, mentoring junior engineers, and coordinating breakdown responses with Operations. A time-served apprenticeship and strong mechanical/electrical skills are essential, with a 12-hour nights pattern (4 on/4 off).

Qualifications

• Time-served, multi-skilled engineer with mechanical and electrical capability.
• Experience in fast-paced manufacturing; poultry experience advantageous.
• Previous supervisory or senior engineer experience, ready to lead.

Responsibilities

• Act as lead engineer and senior on shift, setting standards and direction.
• Carry out hands-on mechanical and electrical fault-finding, repairs and maintenance.
• Respond quickly to breakdowns, coordinate engineering response and restore operations.
• Ensure breakdowns, technical issues and risks are reported, escalated and resolved.
• Support and develop engineers on shift, providing practical direction under pressure.
• Maintain high standards of engineering discipline, safety, and housekeeping.
