Mason James Appointments (UK) Ltd is recruiting an experienced Mechanical Bias Shift Engineer for a fast-paced manufacturing site in the UK. The role is hands-on, focusing on reactive maintenance, fault finding and improving the reliability of automated production and packaging lines.

The ideal candidate has a strong mechanical background in manufacturing, proven experience with automated equipment, and a proactive attitude toward continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Strong mechanical engineering background in manufacturing/production.
• Experience with reactive maintenance and fault finding.
• Comfortable handling automated machinery and production equipment.
• Proactive engineer with continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Carry out reactive maintenance across automated production lines.
• Diagnose and resolve mechanical faults to minimise downtime.
• Support improvements in equipment reliability and efficiency.
• Work with conveyors, packaging equipment, cutters, slicers and automated systems.
