Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a hands-on Mechanical Engineer to join a growing operation focused on pumping, wastewater treatment and mechanical equipment for water, utilities and environmental sectors. Based mainly in the Hollingbourne workshop, you’ll build, test and refurbish equipment, with occasional site travel.

You’ll work from drawings and specifications, contribute to FATs and final delivery, and collaborate with the Project Engineer to ensure safe, on-time project completion.

Qualifications

• Solid mechanical engineering or fitting background.
• Experience with pumps, pipework, valves, seals and mechanical assemblies.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and P&IDs.
• Good practical skills using power tools and workshop equipment.
• Strong fault-finding and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to work in the workshop and on customer sites.
• Full UK driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Build, assemble and test mechanical equipment including pumps and pipework.
• Work from engineering drawings and build specifications to complete builds.
• Carry out mechanical fitting, alignment, and inspections.
• Modify, repair and refurbish existing equipment.
• Prepare equipment for FATs, testing and delivery.
• Support installation and commissioning at customer sites.
• Maintain a safe, tidy workshop and document records.
