Job summary

Pertemps Bond is recruiting for an Assembly Operative (Mechanical) in Clevedon, North Somerset. Roles include mechanical frame assembly, sub-assemblies, and pipework installation in a busy production environment. On-site work with shifts, pay rates, and progression opportunities.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on experience in assembly or engineering, plus good tool use and the ability to read drawings. Local transport or housing flexibility is preferred to suit the site location.

Qualifications

• Previous assembly, manufacturing or engineering experience
• Experience using hand tools and working with mechanical parts
• Ability to follow instructions and drawings
• Good attention to detail
• Reliable and able to work both independently and in a team

Responsibilities

• Assemble mechanical frames, brackets and components
• Build sub-assemblies using hand tools and equipment
• Install pipework and mechanical components
• Fit heaters and insulation to pipe runs
• Follow engineering drawings and work instructions
• Support general production and assembly tasks
• Maintain a clean and safe work area
