Job summary

WF Tech in Gloucester seeks an experienced Manufacturing Engineering Lead to drive the engineering and tooling capability at the Gloucester plant. You will lead the local teams, delivering hands-on engineering work while shaping long‑term strategy and governance.

You will take products from design through production, ensuring methods, tooling, documentation, training, and quality controls are in place. This is a high‑impact, hands‑on leadership role.

Qualifications

• 5+ years' industrial Manufacturing Engineering experience in production or NPI.
• 3+ years leading a technical team with hands-on delivery.
• Strong knowledge of composite manufacturing and materials.
• Experience in aerospace/advanced manufacturing and AS9100 basics.
• PFMEA, problem solving, RCA and continuous improvement experience.
• Lean manufacturing principles and process development expertise.
• CAD experience with SolidWorks and Composer; good Excel skills.

Responsibilities

• Lead Manufacturing Engineering and Tooling teams, setting objectives and priorities.
• Own delivery plans; align Operations with Engineering strategy.
• Stay hands-on delivering engineering work while guiding the team.
• Support quotations, tooling requirements, and costings for BD.
• Develop routings, BoMs, MoMs, and process sheets for new products.
• Create and implement quality controls, inspection plans and PCAs.
• Lead APQP for NPIs, PFMEA, control plans and PPAP/FAIR.
• Ensure production readiness from design to manufacture, including risk management.
• Collaborate across Engineering, Operations, Quality and Supply Chain.
