Job summary
AO is seeking a Maintenance Technician to keep our distribution center safe, efficient and running like clockwork in Crewe. You’ll work hands-on across sites and ensure contractors meet high standards.
The role covers planned maintenance, fault diagnosis, repairs, and reporting. We look for experience in joinery, basic electrical maintenance, plumbing, and painting/decorating, with a proactive mindset.

Qualifications
- Experience in a similar maintenance role for large buildings or estates.
- Working knowledge of joinery, electrical maintenance, plumbing and decorating.
- Ability to diagnose faults quickly and perform repairs safely.
Responsibilities
- Keep on top of planned maintenance (PPMs) and hit agreed timelines.
- Jumping on faults quickly, diagnosing issues, and fixing them properly.
- Prioritising jobs so the right things get done at the right time.
- Flagging when something can’t be repaired and recommending the right fix.
- Carrying out repairs, installations, and minor works across our sites.
- Completing testing and certification where needed.
- Carrying out site surveys and writing clear, useful reports.
- Looking after your tools and making sure everything’s safe to use.
- Ordering parts when needed to keep things moving.
