Job summary

ShareForce is seeking a hands-on Lead Data Scientist to own four established predictive models and build a mature internal data science capability in a hybrid setup in Basingstoke.

In this leadership role you will transfer knowledge from an external partner, strengthen model governance, and shape data science and AI direction within Azure and Databricks while advising senior stakeholders on commercial impact.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in data science and ML lifecycle.
• Proven ability to translate technical findings into business value.
• Experience leading and shaping data science programs.

Responsibilities

• Own four predictive models end-to-end from development to monitoring.
• Remain hands-on with data, code and modelling tools to improve performance.
• Oversee knowledge transfer from external partner to internal team.
• Define a data science roadmap aligned with business priorities.
• Establish model governance and lifecycle practices in a regulated environment.
• Shape Azure and Databricks data science environment.
• Develop practical AI and external data strategies with clear business cases.
• Lead and grow the internal data science capability.
• Advise senior stakeholders with commercially focused recommendations.
• Support due diligence by articulating capability and progress.
