Job summary

Sewell Wallis is partnering with a large South Yorkshire manufacturing business in Sheffield to recruit an Internal Trainer. The role focuses on delivering practical and classroom‑based training across plant operations and safety‑critical activities, ensuring employees are competent, confident and safe in their roles.

You’ll work with HR and L&D to plan and deliver onboarding, refresher and competency‑based training, maintain lesson plans and assessments, and keep accurate training records and

Qualifications

• Experience delivering practical workplace training and competency assessments.
• Current instructor qualifications across FLT, cranes, MEWP, PASMA, abrasive wheels and material handling (or willingness to obtain).
• Strong understanding of health & safety, risk assessments and safe systems of work.

Responsibilities

• Deliver practical and classroom-based training across FLT, cranes, PASMA, MEWP, abrasive wheels and safety topics.
• Assess employee competence with demonstrations, observation and questions; provide feedback and identify training needs.
• Plan onboarding, refresher and competency-based training aligned to production requirements.
