Job summary

Consult is seeking a Financial Controller at its Buckinghamshire HQ. This hands-on role reports to the Senior Financial Controller and focuses on ensuring accuracy and integrity of financial records while delivering meaningful management information to leadership.

Responsibilities include monthly close, balance sheet reconciliations, budgeting, cash flow forecasting and ERP optimisation. ACA/ACCA/CIMA qualified candidates with manufacturing, healthcare or distribution experience are preferred,

Qualifications

• Strong technical accounting knowledge and analytical skills.
• Hands-on experience with management accounts and budgeting.
• Experience with balance sheet reconciliations and journal entries.

Responsibilities

• Support monthly close process including management accounts, reconciliations and journals.
• Own integrity of the general ledger and chase variances.
• Support annual statutory accounts and liaise with external auditors.
• Manage working capital elements: debtors, creditors, inventory, cash flow forecasting.
• Contribute to budgeting/forecasting and KPI tracking; identify profitability improvements.
